For my 39th birthday, I decided I wanted to give you a gift. I was playing with yarn and I came up with this super simple but delicious fabric, and it’s just too good to keep to myself. I’ve wanted to release something that truly everyone can make for a long time. Whether it’s your first ever knitting project or you want a mental break and something beautiful to keep your hands busy, this softly textured knit is for you. A free pattern to encourage you to pick up needles and yarn and make something special or learn something new. Run your fingers over the satisfying fabric as your shawl grows, enjoy the meditative stitching, take it everywhere and sneak in a row or two or twenty when you can – it’s hard to put down. Everyone can be a fiber artist! Please, use this pattern to teach your friends to knit, to encourage those who’ve lost their mojo to try again, to start getting through your sock yarn stash, and to show off your favorite dyers or yarns!
This asymmetrical triangle shawl is worked from one corner to the bind off edge, starting with a small number of stitches and increasing to form the triangle.
