“Inspired by artistic mark-making, Ferrule follows the approach of a painter mixing colours by combining finer yarns together to create marled mixes. The stitch pattern is derived from abstract brushstrokes, with blocks of colour layering over one another and blending at the edges. A celebration of colour, this design also features simple intarsia which allows for multiple marled panels across the row. The simple shape of the silhouette and the easy-to-remember textured stitch pattern encourages you to get lost in the creative and rhythmic process.”

Ferrule is worked in pieces, with the front, back and sleeves worked flat. The shoulders are then seamed using the Three-Needle Bind-Off. Mattress stitch is used for all other seams. Stitches around the neck are picked up for a 2x2 rib trim.
