Ferragosto Twist
I cast on this pair of socks on August 15 and so, I had to name the pattern Ferragosto Twist. August 15 is my nameday and it is a holiday in several European countries. In Italy, as in Greece, the day has its own special name : Ferragosto (mid-August holiday). Twisted stitches did the rest. I combined a slipped sts pattern with some twists for this pair of socks and I embarked on some sockknitting fun. All you need is a skein of beautiful sock yarn and a mini skein (or the equivalent in leftovers) of fingering/sock weight and there you go!
Color choices give you endless possibilities, but you know that better than me!
The pattern includes instructions for the socks to fit foot circumference: 5.5 (6, 6.5, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5, 11) in OR 14 (15, 16, 19, 20, 21, 22.5, 24, 25, 26,27.5) cm
Happy Knitting!
