I added a couple of striped bands as decoration up at the top by needle felting.

The case clears the height of the Kindle by about an inch, so there is space inside the top edge to sew a snap to make sure the Kindle does not slide out.

The crazy thing about my swatches for this was how the stitch-to-row ratio changed depending on the proportions of the tested object. Taller narrower ones became more so, and one shorter wide one become terribly short and wide. So as you might assume, I did not get this right the first time. Or the second…
