Felted Entrelac Fobs
Designer’s Notes:
These little pouches were inspired by a well-loved, leather key fob I owned for many years. Fill them with stitch markers or other small notions and clip them to your knitting bag. They can be worked from one continuous strand of self-striping yarn or you can facilitate color changes by removing a few feet of yarn and using a spit splice to rejoin the yarn ends. The drawstring cord is secured by a decorative knot in front and a bead in back. It is not necessary to untie the knot; the pouch opens and closes by sliding the bead along the drawstring cord. To ensure the pouch stays closed, the bead should fit very snugly on the cord. I used lampworked beads with a 5/32” (4 mm) center hole made by a local artisan.
In the photo I took before I sent the pouches to Interweave, you can more clearly see how I attached the key fob.
