Ed. note: If you are substituting another yarn, it must be 100% feltable wool if you plan to felt the project.

Size 8 (5 mm) - 16” or 24” circular needles
Size 8 (5 mm) double-pointed knitting needles (dpns)
Stitch markers

Hat lace edging chart is provided. Edging is worked in rows on double-pointed needles.

To finish the hat, pick up stitches on circular needle along the lace edging. Switch to dpns to shape top of crown.

Felt to finish.

Recommended: If you are making the set, make the hat first and use the remainder of the yarn for the scarf.
