Felt Bunny Rabbit
This vintage inspired cuddly companion has moving jointed limbs and cute button eyes it is so quick to knit using large size needles, then magically transformed into thick soft felt by a ride in your washing machine!
Bunny’s’ arms and legs are jointed so it can sit, stand or cuddle and its traditional button eyes twinkle above a cute embroidered nose and mouth.
Each piece of the bunny is stuffed before felting, the stuffing is compressed as the knitting shrinks to give a plump seamless finish.
Fully illustrated instructions guide you through assembling your bunny and adding the features.
(If you are gifting this bunny to a child please do not use buttons- embroidered eyes look great too, and the limbs will still be jointed)
My clear and detailed pattern and instructions show you step by step, from knitting, sewing up, and felting, to assembling and creating the face of your bunny.
This pattern uses basic shaping and simple short rows ( no wrap and turn unless you want to!)
Felting is a wonderful way to extend your knitting skill, it is very forgiving, and the knitted stitches disappear once the felting process is complete.
Please make sure your chosen yarn is a suitable for felting. ( choose yarns which are 100% virgin wool-often called filz or filzwolle)
I guide you every step of the way so you can easily create your own felted Cute Bunny Rabbit.
