The stitch count nearly doubles in Rows 1 and 8. The extra stitches are decreased away in Rows 3 and 10. The long sides of the wrap have a slipped stitch edging. This stitch pattern produces a fabric with a lot of dimension. To preserve the cuddly quality of the shawl, do not stretch aggressively when blocking.
