The Feathers Shawlette is semi-circular and features a feather and fan edging. You begin to knit at the center and work your way outwards to the feather and fan edging. This gives you the opportunity to knit as long as your yarn lasts. The Feathers Shawlette suits self-striping yarns with long repeats extremely well.

Size: approx. 104cm/41” wide and 45cm/17,75” deep at the center after blocking. (Instructions to vary dimensions are included.)

Skill Level: Easy. A good beginners project in lace knitting. You should be able to: knit, purl, make 1, knit 2 together and do yarn overs.

Needles: 4mm (US size 6) circular needle or size to obtain gauge. A larger needle may be helpful to bind off.

Yarn: approx. 1 ball of Lang Yarns Jawoll Magic (light fingering/3ply, 75% new wool/25% Nylon, 400m/437y in 100g).

Notions: tapestry needle to weave in ends, pins to block.

Gauge: (in stockinette stitch) 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10cm/ 4 x 4” before blocking and 18 sts x 27 rows = 10 x 10cm/ 4 x 4” after blocking. Gauge is not crucial, except to determine yardage.

Dieses halbrunde Tuch hat eine breite Kante im Pfauenschweifmuster. Es wird von der Mitte der geraden Kante aus nach außen in Richtung Schmuckkante gestrickt. Diese Methode ermöglicht es, einfach so weit zu stricken, wie das Garn reicht. Garne mit einem langen Farbverlauf kommen in diesem Tuch besonders gut zur Geltung.

Größe: ca. 104cm breit und 45cm tief in der Mitte. (Angaben zur Änderung der Maße sind in der Anleitung enthalten.)

Schwierigkeitsgrad: Leicht. Das Tuch eignet sich hervorragend als Anfängerprojekt im Lace stricken. Benötigte Fähigkeiten: rechte, rechts verschränkte und linke Maschen, 2 Maschen rechts zusammen stricken, Umschlag.

Nadeln: 4mm Rundstricknadel. Zusätzlich eine größere Nadel zum Abketten.

Garn: ca. 1 Knäuel Lang Yarns Jawoll Magic (feines Strumpfgarn, 75% Schurwolle/25% Nylon, 400m/100g).

Zusätzlich: Stopfnadel zum Verstopfen der Garnenden, Stecknadeln zum Spannen.

Maschenprobe: 10 x 10cm glatt rechts entsprechen 22 M x 30 R vor dem Spannen bzw. 18 M x 27 R nach dem Spannen.
