Feather Slouch
I love working with this technique. In some books it is called a dip stitch, in others it is called a drawn stitch. I just call it fabulous. It is like an embroidery stitch in that it is applied to a surface, except that you work (apply) it with a knitting needle as you knit the rest of your project.
Worked in beautiful yarns like the Malabrigo Mecha, or the heathered Highland Alpaca Chunky, it absolutely shines!
I kept this hat pattern simple just so that you could work on learning the feather stitch itself. There is a link to my blog post with a video of the making of the feather stitch.
This slouchy hat has been designed to co-ordinate with the Feather Mittens.
