Favorite Flannel Cozy
It was always there, the favorite flannel. Reliable and trustworthy, like the old car in the driveway. Waiting to be thrown on for a lazy movie night in, dressed down and burrowed under layers of blankets on a perfectly broken in couch. For a sizzling pan full of new-recipe, and a peaceful evening under quiet stars. Perfectly tailored, it was a transition piece. Layered over a button down with crisp details and a pop of texture for a quick trip into the city, to wander under twinkling streetlights and listen to cars take their passengers to endless possibilities. Dependable drape, clean rib and a dash of brioche at the collar. This sweater, this sweater was special. Simultaneously new, simultaneously familiar, and always befitting.
Sweater is worked from the top down, seamlessly. Worked flat to start and then joined in the round at front when neckline shaping is completed. Worked entirely in the round thereafter. Please slip all markers as you come to them throughout the pattern.
Intended to be worn with 4-6”/10-15 cm positive ease. Size 40”/101.5 cm modeled with 6”/15 cm positive ease.
