Mon accessoire préféré en automne : un châle immense et enveloppant, un châle tellement grand qu’il peut remplacer une veste sans nous encombrer. Je l’ai voulu plein de textures, un peu comme le tapis de feuilles qui crissent sous les pas et qu’il soit passionnant à tricoter pour un résultat tout en élégance et féminité, qu’on peut porter en ville ou lors d’une longue balade à la campagne. J’ai choisi de le tricoter avec une laine chaude et douillette mais dans un échantillon aéré pour un maximum de drapé et de légèreté.

Fastlane est un châle triangulaire asymétrique tricoté de gauche à droite en laine fingering. Une augmentation (jeté) est faite sur chaque rang endroit. Les explications sont données sous forme de diagramme et rang par rang.

My favorite accessory for fall is a huge shawl, a shawl so big that it can be worn as a coat. I wanted to play with textures just the way leaves fallen from the trees would crisp under our steps.
I also wanted it to be fun to make for, yet a very feminine result. I wanted it to be a shawl that can be worn in the city but, also, for a walk in the country. I decided to knit in a warm yarn but with a large gauge to give the shawl a lot of drape and lightness.

FastLane is an asymmetric triangle shawl worked in one piece, back and forth from left to right with fingering weight yarn. Instructions are both on charts and written row by row. The pattern comes in 2 sizes.
