The shawl can be any size you wish, and knitted at any gauge. There is a center-back gusset which is usually the width of one repeat of your chosen lace motif. There are side-selvedges at each edge which can be any width you like. Shoulder shaping is worked about halfway between the lace panel and the top.

General Overview: Cast on loosely at the lower edge and establish 4 decrease points.

Pattern included for two styles of shawl, laceweight version and jumperweight wool (32” from center neck to lower edge and wingspan from center-neck to outer tip 44”. 2000 yards.)
