What’s this: This is the Farfalla Shawl. It was designed in collaboration with Couleurs Mouton.

Why should I make this: This pattern was created in collaboration with Danièle of Couleurs Mouton. The beauty of her hand-dyed yarn is showcased by a simple stitch & a border worked as you work the main body. The beads around all 3 sides give this shawl a nice weight & a stunning look.

Pattern includes instructions for a shawlette (1 skein) & a shawl (2 skeins). I also explain how to work with beads, so no worries if you’re new to this.

When will this get the most use: Year-round!

Who is it for: Everyone who loves to wear shawls & scarves as accessories.

Where do I start: This pattern is rated Intermediate - You’ll need to be comfortable with crochet. You will need between 115g (shawlette) or 230g (shawl) of Light Fingering weight yarn (used here: Couleurs Mouton - Kargil) & a 3,5 mm hook. Other notions: 330 or 460 6mm glass beads, a yarn needle, and some stitch markers.

Pourquoi je l’aime tant? Ce patron a été créé en partenariat avec Danièle de Couleurs Mouton. La beauté de sa laine teinte à la main est mise en valeur par un point simple et une bordure travaillée à même le corps. Les perles encadrant les 3 côtés de ce châle triangulaire lui donnent un poids intéressant & l’effet est tout simplement magique.

Deux grandeurs sont disponibles à même le patron : shawlette (1 écheveau) et shawl (2 écheveaux). J’explique aussi comment travailler avec des perles, donc parfait pour les nouveaux!
