Faradrim
Stirring: Faradrim - meaning hunter
An Elven Reckoning - a year of knits from the last homely house is a collection of twelve beautiful garments and accessories inspired by the stories of Elves that inhabit Middle-Earth from J.R.R. Tolkien’s books.
In this book designer Sarah Alderson will take you on a journey through the six seasons that make up an elven reckoning.
The twelve beautiful patterns feature a wide range of design elements, from cables to stranded colourwork, slipped stitch patterns to lace. Sarah has created a pattern for every person (and Elf!).
Keep hands warm in the Echuir season, these mitts are fingerless to allow the use of hands for archery, sword-fighting or knitting.
The slip-stitch pattern is perfect for showing off multi-coloured yarns and the modified sewn bind-off keeps them snug around the fingers.
