Fancy Finger Puppets
by Woman's Day
Six finger puppets worked with scraps of sport-weight yarn. Included are: Bear (brown, beige, black, and white yarn); Crane (white, black, yellow, and red); Monkey (grey, black, and white); Panda (black, white and grey); Dolphin (light blue, medium blue, red, white); and Tiger (yellow, black, and orange).
Cotton balls or small amounts of fibrefill are required for stuffing heads and legs.
No gauge is specified.
Puppet bodies, legs, and some other parts are worked in the round on double pointed needles. Other parts are worked flat. Most of the puppets have small elements such as ears or fins worked in crochet. Pieces are sewn together and details added with embroidery. A yarn needle for seaming and embroidery is required.
