Falsens
Introduction: 20% off with the code ITSAHAT
Falsens hat is inspired by retro head scarves. It is knit from the neck to the forehead in one piece before you knit the ties in the front. The techniques used are increases, decreases on both right and wrong side, pick up and knit, pick up and purl, and German short rows.
The hat comes in three sizes with different depths. All sizes can be adapted to your head circumference. Choose size depending on the style, look, and head coverage you prefer. Choose the small or medium size for a more 40s vintage style that only covers the head and top of the ears, and size large for a more cloche looking hat that covers the forehead and ears. Perfect for cold days!
Sizes: S (M) L
Measurements:
Hat circumference: 50-62 (52-64) 53-65 cm, to fit a head circumference of 52-64 (54-66) 55-67 cm.
Ear to top of head depth: circa 23 (24,5) 26 cm
Needle size: 5 mm (US 7)
Gauge: 16 sts on 10 cm.
NB! It is important to hit gauge, so the hat does not end up too shallow. Testers used from 4.5 mm (US 6) to 5.5 mm (US 8) needles. Make a swatch!

Vams from Rauma Garn, 83 m on 50 g - 100% untreated Norwegian wool
