Well, my friends, the pattern’s come.
Let’s wrap up warm and have some fun.
Throw away the summer sun.
Let your needles knit on! (knit on, knit on, knit on…)

With the Fall Night Long cowl, you’ll feel the rhythm of autumn with every stitch. Don’t be fooled by the fancy dance steps, though—most of the cowl is worked in stockinette. All the magic happens in just three rounds, but you’ll totally look like a superstar for it!

Once you get started, you can’t put it down.

Designed for worsted weight yarn, you’ll quickly knit your troubles away. The leaves highlight the variegation of a beautiful colorway, but a solid or tonal yarn would be stunning, too.

Raise the roof and grab some yarn, because this cowl will keep you cozy all season long.

My apologies to Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long.” You’re welcome for the earworm!

Pattern is written for 6 circumferences with tips for customizing.
Written instructions, chart, and photo tutorial are given. If you choose to print the pattern, you may wish to print only some pages due to the number of photos included.

18 sts and 26 rnds in stockinette stitch worked in the rnd = 4 in. (10.16 cm), blocked
2 repeats wide and 1 repeat tall in
leaf pattern (12 sts by 9 rnds) = 3 in. wide by 1.2 in. tall (7.5 cm wide by 3 cm tall), blocked
Leaf is measured over 9 rnds—7 stockinette rnds, Leaf Rnd, and Resolution Rnd. The leaf pattern disrupts the stockinette fabric, expanding the overall gauge.
