Fall Leaf Stole
I wanted to make a stole for the Fall. Something that would reflect the spirit of the season. I used brown for the main body of the shawl, which features a more geometric lace motif. I did the border in a self-striping Noro Kureyon yarn featuring Autumn colors. The border features a leaf motif. The contrast of the two yarns really adds interest to the stole.
The stole has a trapezoid shape. It’s worked sideways, starting with the long edge and decreasing in every row to the short edge.
The border motif is worked in a somewhat unusual way: the entire border is technically only one row. I think the diagram and photos really helps with figuring this one out, even if you prefer written patterns.
