The Fall in Love Shawl can be worn alone or with the Ivy Crochet Hat or Beret. The Harmony Crochet Mittens complete the ensemble.

The Fall in Love Shawl is an isosceles triangle with approximately 35° base angles A and B and 110° vertex angle C. It remains in its isosceles as you grow it, no matter what size you choose to make.

The Fall in Love Shawl is worked vertically, flat, in one piece. Repeats of the Ivy stitch pattern are structured to create a double-sided scarf textile. The Ivy stitch pattern is created using the short-row technique, standard crochet stitches (US terminology), and some special stitches. It is smoothly integrated into the triangle shape framed with ribbing edges AB and AC, using increases and decreases and the decorative edge BC.

You may grow your shawl to the size/number of panels you decide as you go.

You need to know how to work a yarn over slip stitch, hdc and e-hdc, be ready to learn some slip stitch modifications that create the stitch pattern, and follow the instructions carefully.

Materials:
If your yarn is different, here are some hints.

Yarn: 150-250m per 100 g, approximately 200 - 400 g depending on the size. Choose solid colours or hand-dyed yarns, colour-changing yarn. Z-twist yarns will give a different stitch definition; not all can be recommended.
Crochet hook size 4.5 mm – 6.5 mm.
Sharp tapestry needle for weaving in.

Main steps

Beginning. We will work on angle A. This part will also be a gauge swatch.
In Panel 1, we will start including the Ivy stitch pattern.
We will grow the Fall in Love Shawl in Panel 2 and General Instructions.
In the Final Panel, we will stabilize the edge by reducing the hook size when specified and work a nice and reliable finish.
