This pattern is written up with two versions, both inspired by the Knittin’ in the Mitten fall retreat in Michigan. The porch of the retreat has an interesting detail that jumped out at me as a beautiful shawl shape. I incorporated a lace motif to match, but wanted this design to be simple enough to knit while chatting at a retreat. Thus, the alternative version was created. Something that can be worked on without having to pay too close attention. A gorgeous worsted weight yarn also helps to make this a fairly quick and extra warm knit!
