Fairy Violet Shawl
This lacy shawl is a perfect accessory for the summer.
Wear it on your shoulder at the beach or around your neck during the night, it will brighten you!
The pattern is partially charted. The charts are made with crocharts.com.
Yarn: you may use any type of yarn; the sample is from worsted weight yarn (116yards/1.76ounces, 106m/50g). The yardage depends on your yarn-choice.
Hook size: a bit bigger than suggested for the yarn, I used 5mm.
Gauge: not important
Size: The pattern gives you help for making the shawl in 4 different size: S (M, L, XL). An approximate size for the radius of the shawl from worsted weight yarn: 60cm/24”, (90cm/36”, 120cm/48”, 150cm/60”). It can variate if you choose different weight of yarn.
After the beginning section there are two different kinds of sections: the flower section (with the contrast color and the main color) and the lacy section (with the main color). The size S (M, L, XL) contains 1 (2, 3, 4) flower- and lacy section(s) and then comes the ending section. The sample shawl is M size from worsted weight yarn. Its radius is 36” (90cm).
Please note that by increasing the radius of the shawl (by crocheting more sections) you will need exponentially more yarn. As the pattern don’t state the yarn weight I cannot give you the yardage. If you need help by calculating it, please contact me.
For the flower and the ending section first you have to crochet the flowers. You will need altogether 23 (71, 189, 470) flowers for crocheting the whole shawl, you may find the number of the flowers for each section at the pattern.
The pattern is available in English (US terms) and hopefully it will soon be available in Hungarian! ;)
