The Fairy Dogmother waves their magic wand to grant you 3 woofs and wishes! This pattern uses a white fluffy fleecy chenille yarn to make the cuddly dog, and DK weight colourful yarns for the outfit. The dog’s cape and wand are removable.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, this toy is knit in DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). A crochet hook is only used to work single crochet chains for the cape and apron ties.

NEEDLES:
A pair of 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6).

RECOMMENDED YARN:
King Cole Big Value DK; double knitting/light worsted weight (100% acrylic), less than 25g in each colour. The white yarn is a fluffy chenille yarn; the recommended brand is Sirdar Happy Chenille (100% polyester).


NOTIONS:
A 4mm crochet hook, tapestry needle, toy filling, stitch markers, a stitch holder, domed black buttons for eyes, a toy safety nose, and a cylindrical lollipop stick and glue to make the fairy star wand.

SIZES:
One size only - The dog is 23cm tall.

TECHNIQUES:
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases including p2tog and k3tog decreases, and seaming to finish.
