This colourful design is for a relaxed fit cropped waistcoat in two sizes.
There is no sewing up, the back and fronts are knitted in one piece up to the armholes and the shoulders are joined using the 3-needle cast off method. The cable border is joined to the front edges as you knit and can be fastened with a brooch or shawl pin.

To fit bust size 32 to 36 in (38 to 44 in) with 4 to 6 in of ease

4.5 mm & 5 mm long circular needles (you are knitting in rows not in the round but need circular needles to accommodate all the stitches).
4.5 mm short circular needles (for knitting the armhole bands in the round).
