Fair Winds is the third pair in a collection of sea-themed boot socks. During the days of sailing ships, a fair wind was one that pushed the ship on it’s journey. In the modern Navy, “Fair Winds” is a term wished on a sailor who is retiring. It denotes a wish for the sailor to have “good sailing” during the next part of his life. Fair Winds is a cuff down sock the features a gentle wave motif. Worsted weight wool is used to produce a warm thick sock perfect to wear with boots or just around the house.

Please note: I no longer have time to design and new tax laws make that even harder. My patterns are now free. Please enjoy. However no pattern support or help will be given as I am not on here much anymore.
