Fair Weather Temperature Blanket
This pattern was designed for Yarn Refuge in Reno, NV. Pattern is free with purchase of 4 or more skeins to make the blanket. Order in the store or at www.yarnrefuge.com. Please leave a note on your order if you would like a download code for this pattern to be included.
This blanket is worked in four 91-day panels, each representing a quarter of the year. Each panel is knit from the bottom up. The panels are then seamed together from left to right such that Day 1 is represented at the bottom left and Day 364 is at the top right. Tassels on blanket’s corners represent Day 365 (and 366 on a leap year).
Each day of the year is worked over 4 rows in the color representing that day’s temperature. Choose to use the high, low, or average temperature for each day. The stitch pattern for each day corresponds to that day’s weather conditions. A chart is provided for tracking temperature and weather information.
