Fair Isle Vest
Only two colors are used in the design and if one is a variegated yarn it makes the stitch pattern look more intricate than it really is. The corrugated ribbing used on the bottom, around the armholes and the v-neck line, adds to the traditional look. The vest is knitted in the round to the armhole, then the work is divided and the back and front are worked separately. Worsted weight yarn 200-400 yards each of A and B, using 24 inch circular needles US 8 and 9 (or size to get gauge).
