Fair Isle Tea Cozy
This pattern is for a tea cozy, but the instructions also give tips to use the chart for wristwarmers and hat. Knitted using fair isle technique and Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift, it is sure to keep your tea happy and warm!
Requirements:
Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift (4-ply, 105 m per 25 g)
MC: Cardinal
CC1: Thistledown
CC2: Dog Rose
3.75 mm, 40 cm circular needles
3.75 mm DPN’s
Darning Needle
Stitch holder or waste yarn
Stitch Marker
Sizing (width x height):
4-cup teapot: 16 x 17 cm lain flat
6-cup teapot (pictured): 20 x 22 cm lain flat
The Tea Cozy is Cast-on and knitted in the round, then the front half of the stitches are worked flat while the back half is on stitch holders. Then the back half is worked, and both halves are united and worked in the round again to the top.
