Faerie Queene Shawl
This shawl was featured in the Crochet Guild of America’s Annual Conference Fashion Show.
There are no motifs in this pattern, so no excess ends to weave in! Skill level is intermediate or above.
I drew inspiration from Downton Abbey when designing this. It is very vintage, featuring design elements from several eras: Victorian (and neo-Victorian/Steampunk), Art Nouveau, Edwardian, and the Roaring 20s.
The shawl would be equally at home wrapped around the shoulders of an Edwardian gown or worn over a slinky 1920s black dress with long velvet gloves for an evening’s dancing at a lively jazz club in the Roaring 20s.
Pattern includes LOADS OF HELPFUL FULL COLOR PHOTOS, EXCELLENT PROFESSIONAL COLORED CHARTS and PROFESSIONAL WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS.
Sample shawl measures 21” x 72” -can be made any size*
This shawl is completely customizable so you can make it uniquely your own:
--You can easily adjust the size, including a great scarf size--the math is already done for you!
--Flowers are optional--also, you can make more or less flowers, and custom-arrange them according to your liking.
--Directions tell you how to make it with or without beads.
Pattern gives several yarn substitution suggestions using the “save, spend, splurge” style.
Yarn amount, hook and gauge are for Sea Silk at designer’s gauge (provided in pattern). When substituting yarns, adjust accordingly.
