Facet
Mosaic knit diamonds that bleed into garter stitch stripes are a combination that creates a whimsical design! You’ll look polished with this over everything from a simple tee and jeans to your favorite summer dress. A two-color, triangle shawl with an asymmetrical shape that is created by slowly decreasing down to your last few stitches. Knit up in your favorite DK weight yarn, the Facet shawl is a very unique piece that is both fun to knit and wear. Oh, and don’t forget the mini-fringe!

NOTES:
• During yarn changes, simply carry yarn up the side of the work.
• Mosaic knitting (also called slipped-stitch color work) is worked using only one color per row. The pattern
is formed by slipping contrasting color stitches purlwise from previous rows.
• Fabric made with many slip stitches (Mosaic knitting) tends to be tighter than garter stitch worked with the same size needle, therefore you may want to go down a needle size for the garter stitch section.
• Slip all stitches purlwise, with the yarn held in back on RS rows and with the yarn held in front on WS rows.
• All Mosaic Charts use one color per row. The color of the first stitch of the chart represents the color used for that entire row.
• The WS rows for the mosaic section are not shown on the charts, therefore each charted row represents two rows of knitting. On the WS side rows, you simply knit the knit stitches and slip the slip stitches purlwise with yarn in front.
