I really enjoy seeing all the combinations and colours that indie dyers come up with on handpainted yarns and mini-skein sets. It is a delightful question to wonder what to do with all those beautiful mini-skein sets. This shawl was inspired by this by question.

Materials
• One skein of sock yarn with a coordinating mini-skin set of 5 skeins, 140gm total.
The sample knit here used 90gm for the main colour, and 10gm of each of the mini-skeins. I used the Urban Mini Skein Set and Urban Rust from an Indie Dyer, AtticSpinDye (can be found on Etsy). Each 100gm of this yarn yields 425 metres. This is also a great opportunity to look at those ends of sock yarn in the stash and come up with some coordinating colours. While the eyelets here are made in 5 different colours, the eyelets can also be done in one colour, or in larger stripes. Knit them as you wish
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers
• 4mm (US 6 UK 8) 4o inch circular needles (or needles that will match your yarn choice)

Sizing
The shawl blocks out to 173 cm (68 inches) long by 46cm (18 inches). One size fits most.

Tension
14 sts = 10cm/4in over stockinette
Note: This shawl has been worked with a larger needle choice to yarn size, and the tension has been recorded after it was blocked and stretched into shape. Adjusting the needle size to yarn choice will change the tension. A smaller needle will result in a smaller denser shawl. Please choose the needle and yarn combo which suits your personal preference. Blocking will also influence your tension.

Pattern Notes
This shawl is knit in one piece. An asymmetrical triangle is worked first, then stitches are picked up down the side, and the eyelet ledge is worked. The remaining border section and wavy edging finishes the shawl.

There are 4 sections to this shawl; triangle section, eyelet section, border section, and wavy edging section.

Pattern is written out.
