Eye Pillow
Use this eye pillow to promote your relaxation response. Place it over your eyes and let it block out light and calm your nervous system, ideally for at least 5 minutes every day.
Size & Dimensions
4.5” (11 cm) wide by 9” (23 cm) long
Materials
DK weight yarn. Choose something that will feel good on the face (such as a silk, linen, or cotton blend).
Yarn A: 75 yards (69 meters)
Yarn B: 30 yards (28 meters)
Yarn C: 15 yards (14 meters)
Size US 5 (3.75 mm) double-pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Scrap yarn for provisional cast-on, stitch marker, tapestry needle
¾ cup dried beans
½ cup dried rice or orzo
½ cup dried lavender
2-3 drops lavender essential oil (Be sure to consider the user’s scent preferences or allergies. You can always swap the essential oil and skip the dried lavender.)
Gauge
25 stitches and 26 rounds = 4” (10 cm)in Eye Pillow Pattern from chart, after blocking.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge aft er blocking.
