Eye of the Storm Hat
When designing The Eye of the Storm Hat for Knits Stars Season 6, I wanted to create something special for Hat lovers. One of my favorite knitting techniques has always been working with slip stitches. As I was designing this hat, I soon realized that the hat resembled rays of rain showers we see over bodies of water. Much to my surprise, the crown of the hat looked exactly like the eye of a hurricane. This hat made me think about the devastation that Hurricane Maria caused on the island of Puerto Rico and how my family on the island stood strong during it all. I hope you enjoy knitting up the “Eye of the Storm Hat”, as much as I’ve enjoyed designing this for you.
