Gustav Klimt’s paintings, and the Stoclet Frieze in particular, inspired the curvilinear motifs on this cardigan. Stranded colourwork circles the lower body and yoke, the curves of which are echoed in the five-button closure. Three-quarter length bell sleeves and open front make this the perfect garment for transitional temperatures on spring and summer days.

Construction Notes

The body is knit from the bottom up, in the round, with a steeked front opening. Sleeves are knit flat for the first 4”/10 cm, then worked in the round before joining the body at the yoke. Body and sleeves are hemmed and attached i-cord edges the front and sleeve openings, forming button loops. Decreases create A-line shaping to the lower body and sleeves.

Choose size closest to your actual bust measurement, choosing smaller size if you are right in between sizes. Sample garment measures 43.5”/110 cm at the bust, and is worn on a model with a 45”/114 cm bust.
