Everlasting Autumn Branch
Leaves and berries are my offerings for October’s #freebeefridayknits - naturally…
Leafage-wise I find tail-end summer and into early Autumn far too fleeting - in a nutshell it goes like this:- green/orange/brown/and…off at such a pace sometimes that blink and you miss it…
so I’ve made an everlasting branch - like I did for Spring when a similar occurance happens blossom-wise…
Use the leaves also to adorn a wreath - very key seasonally for this time of year - or maybe a tea cosy (p.s. the chunky tea cosy pictured is free on my blog - dotpebbles.blogspot if you wanted it!) - a brooch would be nice too… I’ll ‘leaf’ it to you clever folk to change and adapt at will…
One more thing - I used embroidery silks for my leaves - such an amazing array of colours and I love the shininess… and you can get two leaves per skein… but you could also use any thread or sock weight yarn from your stash…
And a little reminder that the next #freebeefridayknits will be a super Christmassy one so don’t miss out…
- here’s the link to the newsletter www.eepurl.com/cIIfFj]1 where you will get the pattern pdf direct in you inbox the day it’s released and I’ll also gift you the pattern right here on Ravelry -
