Eventide
Eventide is part of the book Tempest, a collection of handknits designed by Holli Yeoh for SweetGeorgia Yarns.
Alternating bands of sheer and opaque chevrons create contrast and texture in this boxy pullover. Knit in fine merino and silk, this pullover has a sophisticated air while the easy silhouette makes it equally comfortable in a more casual setting.
The pullover is worked bottom up, in pieces. Set-in sleeves and seams provide structure for a refined fit. Bias bind off (included in instructions) is used around the front neckline and short rows shape the shoulders and back neckline.
#sizeinclusive to a 63.25” / 160.5 cm finished chest measurement.
This knitting pattern includes written directions, chart and written charted instructions, a schematic with measurements, and tutorials for Japanese short rows, bias bind off, picking up stitches.

Substitution Notes
Choose a fingering weight yarn (approx 7.5 sts/inch using 2.75mm / US 2 needles) to be worked at a larger gauge than noted on the ball band. SweetGeorgia Yarns no longer carries Merino Silk Fine but CashLuxe Fine, Flaxen Silk Fine, Mohair Silk Sock, and Tough Love Sock should all work. The secondary laceweight yarn may be substituted with another fingering weight yarn if the translucent effect isn’t desired.
Techniques
Increases/decreases, short rows, three needle bind off, working chevron stitch pattern from chart or written instructions, basic set-in sleeve sweater construction, worked flat, bottom up, seamed, picking up stitches, neckband worked in the round.
