Knitting Pattern for a Classic Raglan Cardigan with a V-neck and a Decorative Cable Pattern in 2x2 Ribbing in Sizes XS | S | M (L | XL |2XL) 3XL | 4XL | 5XL.

Structure:
The cardigan is worked with raglan increases top down in one piece – in cable pattern in 2x2 ribbing back and forth in rows. The sleeves are worked in the round.
First of all, the yoke is shaped with raglan increases along the 2 central raglan stitches and with additional increases along the neckline to shape the V-neck. The cable pattern in 2x2 ribbing seems to “flow” out of the raglan lines and the neckline of the cardigan, creating a delicate and sophisticated look of a classic design. Furthermore, the hems are worked in 2x2 ribbing, complementing the cable pattern and making the transition from cable pattern to hem as smooth as possible.
The sleeves are worked in the same decorative cable pattern in 2x2 ribbing, but in the round. Matching the body hem, the cuffs are worked in 2x2 ribbing as well to match the cable pattern in the best way possible. Last but not least, a double knitted button band is worked along the neckline finishing off the V-neck with the cleanest edging.
The cardigan has a very classic look and fit, which is emphasized by the classic cable pattern. The V-neck creates the perfect neckline making the cardigan suitable for a variety of occasions and styles. Playing with modern colours for the design makes it contemporary and timeless at the same time.
