Ettinsmoor Sweater
Sometimes you want to slouch but still feel a little bit sensual, actually that is most days for me. This oversize, batwing sweater has beautiful drape to stop it drowning you and a wide neckline that falls off the shoulder (alteration tips are given for those that prefer to keep bra straps well and truly hidden!)
For me, everyday means grey. It’s a colour that I always reach for and always feel good in. If you like a little more colour then the seams could be worked in a contrast yarn for a small pop of colour. This pattern would also work well with variegated yarns which would play across the bars of the linked stitches beautifully.

To fit chest/bust up to:
36(44, 52, 60)in/90(110, 135, 150)cm
Finished chest/bust:43(51, 60, 66)in/108(128, 146, 164)cm
Finished high hip measurement:32(40, 48, 53)in/80(100, 120, 132)cm
Pattern is designed to be worn very baggy with a large amount of positive ease. If unsure between sizes, choose based on fit at high hip (5cm/2in below natural waistline).
Materials
8(10, 11, 13) 50g skeins of Stolen Stitches Nua (Sportweight, 60% merino wool, 20% Yak, 20% Linen 140m/153yd/50g) in August Storms (9809)
5mm (US H) hook
Tension
17 sts and 7 rows in alternating rows of ldtr in BLO and htr to 10 cm/4 in using 5mm hook (or size needed to achieve tension)
Both stitch and row tension are important for this garment. If you cannot match both then choose the hook size that gives you the correct number of stitches and you will need to readjust the placement of increases and decreases to match the number of rows you will achieve (see schematic measurements).

Basic crochet stitches, working in rows, working in back loops only, linked stitches(explained in pattern and photo tutorial in book), increasing, decreasing, joining pieces using double crochet.
Construction
Worked flat in pieces, the front and back are worked from hem to underarm. The sleeves are worked from cuff to yoke. The pieces are joined using double crochet seams.
