PATTERN NOTES
The carry-along yarn creates both the tweed effect and the openwork stripes, depending on whether it is worked with the cotton or on its own. Although the stitches themselves are very basic, do pay attention when working the tweed on its own.
Carry A and B tog on four rows of the stitch pattern, then carry only B on two rows, as directed. Do not cut A, but carry it loosely up the side, then pick up A again after working the B-only rows.
This pattern uses U.S. crochet terminology.
