Estelle's Shawl
NOTE: WS rows are: sl1tbl, k4, p to last 5 sts, k4, p1
to clarify the instructions in Step 2.
Estelle’s Shawl is my second shawl design in my “Beaded Heirloom Shawls” series and one of three in the ebook also available here on Ravelry.
I love the traditional look of the Haapsalu shawls and to bring a “new” look to a classic shawl design, beads are used in place of nupps. However, nupps can always be substituted but you’ll need to add 25% more yarn to the requirements!
Semi-circular design knit traditionally from the bottom up with the option of knitting in a solid or 2 color striped version. Yarn requirements are based on using a 2ply lace weight yarn OR a heavy lace/light fingering weight yarn. Instructions are included for adjusting the needle size for the appropriate yarn weight.
