Gauge: 24 sts & 26 rows = 10cm / 4” over colourwork pattern on 3.75mm needles, after blocking.
27 sts & 34 rows = 10cm / 4” over 1x1 Rib pattern on 3.25mm needles, unstretched after blocking.
Needles: 3.25mm / US 3 straight needles (optional for Tubular Cast-On set up rows), and / or circular needle, 40cm / 16” length
3.75mm / US 5 circular needle, 40cm / 16” length AND needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notes: Hat is worked in one piece from the brim up. The chart is worked using the stranded colourwork method. Keep floats loose to maintain an elastic fabric. For floats longer than 5 stitches, twist yarns together on wrong side of work.
