Épicéå
“The Épicéå Sweater is inspired by forest walks: cable patterns seem to be like tree trunks, and you can place little treasures found during your walk in the woods in its two large pockets. So just put on it and here you go for a relaxing walk.”
– Solène Amary
Épicéå is worked seamlessly from the top down. First the back yoke is worked flat and shaped with increases. Stitches are then picked up along the back shoulders to shape the right then left front yoke. Once the yoke is finished and front and back are joined, the body is worked in the round, until the bottom has to be shaped back and forth to add more length and create a split hem in the middle of the back. The sleeves are worked in the round from stitches that are picked up along the armhole edges. Finally, a folded collar is knitted to add more cosiness to this sweater.
