Ephemeris is an asymmetric-shaped triangular shawl consisting of simple garter stitch coupled with a mosaic pattern and a simple slipped stitch repeat. It is the perfect design for using up those single skeins of fingering weight yarn that may be languishing in your stash.

Instructions are both charted and written. Only one color is worked per row for both the mosaic and slipped stitch patterns. The yarn not-in-use is carried up the side of the shawl throughout the pattern. The shawl can be easily enlarged or shortened by adding or subtracting rows of garter st in the last section before binding off.
