Envelop Cowl
Envelop is an infinity cowl, knit in a tube and seamed with a twist. This double thickness fabric is so luxurious and is sure to keep the cold away. Slipped stitches in fluffy yarn create plump texture and are intuitive to work, making this a great travel knit or “knitflix” project.
If you haven’t seamed a project using kitchener stitch in the round before, I’ve got you! I created a video tutorial that walks you through the entire process, from set up to seaming the final two stitches.
Construction
The Envelop cowl begins with a provisional cast on and is knit in a tube until the full length is reached. Live stitches are placed on waste yarn and the tube should be blocked prior to seaming. During the seaming process, one end of the cowl is twisted and the two ends are seamed together using the kitchener stitch in the round.
A complete video tutorial for seaming is linked under “Helpful Tutorials.”
