Ennid Laceweight Shawl
by Lucinda Guy
Simple, lace-light, and practical, the Ennid Shawl is reminiscent of the traditional garter-stitch triangular shawls once worn by Icelandic women on a daily basis. Traditionally, this type of shawl was worn wrapped across the chest and tied at the back, a look that is still nice today. Or, wrap the Ennid Shawl around your neck and shoulders and knot or pin it in place. Either way, it provides a superb insulating layer. The small knitted edging lends an extra textural details, which, once the shawl has been hand washed, softens and shapes up nicely.
