English Diamonds Cowl
Pattern Correction: End repeats with RS row 12, not row 11.
This cowl was inspired by the many gradient yarns on the market today. The English Diamond Quilting Stitch involves pulling an elongated stitch up a few rows and across a stockinette background. By using one color for the background and another for the elongated stitch, the contrast between the two is highlighted. This makes the stitch ideal to use when working with gradient yarns. The design gives the knitter a chance to practice many hand knitting skills including provisional cast on, slip stitches, variation in gauge, and finishing techniques.
The gauge for the English Diamond Quilting Pattern is 32 sts and 38 rows over 4”/10cm
