This is a simple, practical, unisex baby blanket pattern. It works up quickly in worsted weight yarn and a size J hook, but with enough going on to keep the stitching from being boring. While the pattern is worked in a coil and primarily uses single crochet, it is inspired by the structure of the traditional granny square.
