Emmer begins at the centre top with a garter tab cast on, increasing evenly downward into a semi-circular shape. The pattern morphs through several different lace patterns, with twisted stitches a common theme throughout the work.

Part of an autumnal collection of knits, this shawl represents the bare stalks of wheat after harvest. Emmer draws inspiration from the remaining stalks, drifting in the autumn breeze, catching the early setting sunlight.
