The “EMILY” cloche - an upside-down flower hat

A ruffled cast-on is followed by simple stockinette stitch makes a quick and cute flower cap. The leaves are knit separately and sewn on.

THE BASICS

• Instructions are for knitting in the round on circular and double pointed needles

• Approx. 100 to 200 yds (91 to 183 m) DK or light-worsted weight yarn for hat

• Approx. 30 to 50 yds (27 to 46 m) DK or light-worsted weight yarn for stem and leaves

• U.S. size 6 (4 mm) 12” or 16” circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge

• U.S. size 6 (4 mm) double pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge

• Stitch markers

• Yarn needle
