This project works up real fast and would be great for any Elmo fan. Gauge isn’t important for this project as long as your topper fits on your pencil. Basic knitting and crochet skills needed to complete this fun Elmo pencil topper. The head and body is worked all in one piece flat. The eyes and nose are done with crochet.

Supplies
• worsted weight yarn in red, orange, white, and black
• Size 6 knitting needles
• Crochet hook in size E
• Finishing needle
• Embroidery needle
• Felt in black
• DMC floss or thread in black
• Fiber Fill

Terms
co: cast on
k: knit
p: purl
kfb: knit in front and back of stitch
FO: finish off

Hdc: half double crochet
Ch: chain
